BizIn – Bitcoin price was at the lowest during the last month in the first week of January 2022. Bitcoin prices as of Thursday (6/1/2022) around 06.00 (West Indonesian Time) were observed to be at 43,400 US dollars (approximately IDR. 625 million) per chip as shown quoted from CoinDesk data. This figure is lower than on December 18, 2021, which was US$45,600 (approximately IDR. 656 million) per chip.
This is related to the move by the US central bank, the Federal Reserve Bank, which plans to shrink the balance sheet. It swelled to a figure of 8.3 trillion US dollars or around IDR. 119,515 trillion. This step is carried out as a step to sell assets owned for payment of existing debts.
This is also feared by investors considering the printing of money by the Federal Reserve Bank of up to more than 4 trillion US dollars (around IDR. 57,592 trillion) will trigger an increase in the inflation rate. This gives a bad sentiment on Bitcoin where it is not certain whether the price will go down or up.
On the other hand, the highest increase in the price of Bitcoin over the past month occurred on December 28, 2021, with a figure of 51,800 US dollars (approximately IDR. 745 million) per chip as quoted from CoinDesk which shows the decline in Bitcoin prices over the past week or so reaching 6,000 US dollars (around IDR. 86 million).
